DAY 1: DIANI BEACH - TSAVO EAST

With an early pick up from your hotel at 06:30hrs in the morning, the journey takes you along the main Mombasa-Nairobi highway where traditional coastal culture slowly and noticeably begins to transform into semi-arid terrain the closer we approach Tsavo East National Park. 

Arriving at the park through Bachuma Gate, you will begin looking for animals on entry as we slowly and surely drive towards the direction of your accommodation looking for any resident wildlife that call Tsavo home. At a size of 22,000Km2, Tsavo is one of the world's largest wildlife sanctuaries and is most noted for its dust covered red elephant herds, its mane-less lions and a variety of other wild animals including leopards, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo and other plains game. On arrival at Ashnil Aruba Lodge (or similar), you will be assisted with check in and enjoy a lunch buffet followed by some relaxation.   

In the afternoon at about 16:00 hrs, continue with another series of game viewing in search of more animals and birds, concentrating on maximising your photo opportunities of any wildlife we may spot including; lions, buffalo, ostrich, elephants, giraffe, antelopes, zebra and warthog among others. Still inside the park we then return to the lodge at about 18:30hrs for dinner and overnight.


DAY 2 : TSAVO EAST - DIANI BEACH

The following morning at 06:00hrs, enjoy some coffee/tea at the lodge before you leave for an early morning game drive in search of animals and big cats that may have come out into the open during the night. After the game drive you will then return to the lodge for breakfast. 
Checking out from the lodge, proceed on another game drive looking for animals until we arrive at the park exit. You will be served with lunch at a Lodge before departing for Diani Beach arriving at your hotel in the late afternoon.

1 Day Pilli Pipa Kisite and Wasini Marine Reserve:

 
This All-Inclusive full day tour starts with an early morning pick up from your hotel in Diani Beach. We will drive southwards along the Kenyan - Tanzanian highway to the historical fishing village of Shimoni where during the drive, you can admire the traditional coastal settlements and landscape dotted with views of coconut palm and mango tree plantations.


Arriving at Shimoni village, embark on the traditional arabic style motorised dhow starting with a comfortable cruise through the Wasini channel as you sail towards the Kisite Mpunguti Islands.

Kisite Marine Park is home to a large resident school of dolphins and the sightings are usually quite good occurring on average 6 days out of 7. The crew onboard will be on constant lookout to try and spot these dolphins for you. Arriving at the snorkelling site, snorkel with the qualified marine guide who will help guide you along the reef whether you are a complete beginner or experienced snorkeler. These magical clear waters will mesmerise you with its sights of turtles, colourful corals and thousands of exotic fish. 

After snorkelling, return to the dhow for some light refreshments and proceed to sail to Wasini Island stopping at the private Pilli Pipa restaurant. Spoil yourself with sumptuous sea food, fresh crab and fillet fish, or delicious grilled chicken or vegetarian all prepared Swahili style with a touch of finesse. 

After enjoying some tea and dessert while you reflect about your magical day on the island, board the dhow taking you to the Shimoni mainland for your drive back to Diani beach.

Guided Primate Eco-Tour (One Hour):


Picking you up from your hotel in Diani Beach, we will take a short drive to the colobus conservation centre to begin the tour. The primate eco-tour is a guided walk taking you along the colobus conservation's nature trail for an introduction into the life of a wild colobus troop and some of the other wild monkeys like Vervet's, Sykes and Baboons - depending on who is about. The walk is followed by an informative talk by the experts at the information centre where a series of posters help further to visualise the ongoing primate conservation activities. As it is an active conservation centre, visitors are likely to see the volunteers and staff at work, building bridges, caring for injured monkeys or doing their primate research.

After this informative tour, we will take you back to your hotel to enjoy the rest of your holiday.
