Island-Trips to Wasini and Kisite Marine Park

Pick up from hotel at 7 am, bright and early, and drive down to Shimoni, a sleepy fishing village well-known for the historical slave caves and harbour that once transported slaves to Zanzibar. Upon boarding the Pili Pippa dhow, a welcome tea, coffee and biscuits are served. During the 45 minute voyage to the marine park, you will receive a tour briefing. Full equipment including mask, snorkels, fins and buoyancy jackets will be provided.

There are two snorkelling sites that are visited, weather permitting, and during low tide a fantastic sandbar island is exposed. Scuba diving can be organized at a nominal charge.

After your snorkeling trip, you will return to a private residence of the owners on Wasini Island, a Robinson Cruesoe hideaway for a delicious seafood banquet. Lunch is served in a private garden by smiling Swahili Ladies :) Food fit for a Sultan with crab and freshly baked Patisserie; served with wine and artisan Kenyan beer. Trek back to the boat on a forest trail and sail back to Shimoni.

In the evening, you will be dropped off at your coastal hotel.
